A short game created in Unity game engine. The narrative of the game is about a player who has fallen into a deep sleep and they have stumbled upon a fantasy garden in their dream. In order to wake up from the dream, they must collect 30 orange energy points, complete a maze and cross a bridge by aiming at a target with an arrow they have collected along the way. Collecting 30 orange energy points will give you 'energy' to walk through the exit and wake up. This project was created in the Media Production For Interactive Environments module.
The ArcadeMagnet aimed to create a compact gaming system integrated into a kitchen magnet, providing users with a unique and engaging way to entertain themselves during cooking. The project involved developing four food-themed arcade-style games with dynamically adjustable difficulty levels based on the user's chosen play duration, ensuring a fun experience regardless of available time.

It's a typical day in Bocchi's lives where she needs to work with her bandmates to practice her guitar and help Bocchi score perfectly in various songs on her battle stages! This is Bocchi the Rock!'s fan rhythm game, but the twist is playing it without a touch screen, unlike traditional rhythm games, by using a front camera to capture hand movement and synchronising with the movement of an object on the screen, the player is able to touch the notes without physically touching the screen.
Code Caffeine Collapse highlights the toxic productivity in the tech sector through a depiction of a typical software development office, fit with menial coding tasks, office propaganda, a passive aggressive boss and shallow coworker interactions. Play through the working week, completing tasks to fill up the ever increasing job quota, and make sure to drink plenty of coffee, as running out of caffeine could mean you fall asleep on the job!

What is Digital Noise? Is an immersive room-based exhibit intended to promote critical thought about a purpose-made concept termed "Digital Noise". Digital noise describes any item of technology which, due to it's pervasiveness, use, or design, is distracting or unhealthy. Some examples might be the advertisements on Time Square, QR-code restaurant menus, or Social Media. The exhibit features an open-source device called the Elektrosluch by Jonas Gruska in combination with a projection displaying thought provoking questions to engage visitors and hopefully spark interesting conversations.
Dynamometer Dash is a VR train experience developed for the National Rail Museum. Sit inside a model Dynamometer Car and experience its speed in a recreation of Mallard’s record-breaking 1938 run. Built for accessibility, this project can be experienced seated or standing, with or without controllers and/or a VR headset.
Eerie Escape is an infinite side-scrolling web game created using JavaScript, where you play as a ghost trying to escape from ghost hunters set in a haunted mansion. The aim is to stay alive without hitting any of the traps, trying to achieve the highest score you can.
Escape the maze! is about the player, an adventurer, who is trapped in a mysterious maze-like structure during an adventure. In order to unlock the exit and escape, the adventurer must find 3 keys located inside the maze within 90 seconds.
An interactive display screen that provides an informative engaging experience about the Eurostar 373 308 for school-age children. The interactive display screen consists of 2 sections - one section to learn about the Eurostar design and a driver simulation to allow the user to experience being a driver by interacting with the controls. Evolve is a physical desk top arcade machine that houses a laptop with 3 games, with modern versions of classic games.
A website to help people clear the final fight in Final Fantasy XIV's Eden 8-man raid series. The website is a combination of a collection of various video guides and diagrams to help explain mechanics and ideal party positioning during those mechanics, and small mini-games to help the player identify safe-zones in large Area-Of-Attack style attacks, or mechanics where players have to stand in specific places to avoid killing both themselves and other party members.
The Fishtank Playback controller is an experimental prototype seeking to make music playback interactions tangible. Playback time of songs are physically represented by the level of water in the tank and by decreasing or increasing this, it is possible to seek backwards and forwards through the song. The prototype uses an Bluetooth LE enabled microcontroller and ultrasonic sensor to communicate with a smartphone app which controls Spotify. No fish were harmed in the making of this project!

Grunchula is a walking simulator video game where the player must light up a dark forest in order to visit the titular goblin character “Grunchula”.
GUARDIAN.EXE is a stylized VR action game that aims to provide a satisfying action-packed experience, while requiring strategic thinking from the players. In this game, players have to defend the shrine as a guardian by summoning and setting up magical attacks using “Shikigamis”. There are three types of summons that you could choose so try them all out!
Head in the Clouds is a short game about an author delivering copies of his latest novel to his fellow villagers. As the player glides between floating islands, they come to realize that nobody actually wants to read the book. The protagonist, however, has his “head in the clouds” and believes everyone will love it. The game is meant to comment on how artists pour their hearts into their work but often don't feel their efforts reciprocated by consumers.

An educational app focussing on post-diagnosis education for people recently diagnosed with lifelong health conditions (i.e. Chrones Disease, Diabetes). The app is intended for people of all ages who are affected by such conditions, such as patients with long-term health conditions, and family and friends of those patients. The video showcases the last chapter of the Type 1 diabetes version of the app.
utablus is a top-down exploration and item management game set in an ever-changing, procedurally generated world. The world contains different biomes, structures, and items to find. It draws inspiration from old-school exploration games like Adventure and the Ultima series as well as procedural worldgen and its use in Oskar Stålberg’s games like Bad North
MyShelf is an interactive study website for students, designed to block out external distractions and utilise various focus techniques to keep the user on task. The user will set up a study session by selecting a study technique, a theme (out of the default theme, a space theme and an ocean theme) and entering the goal of the study session. During the session, the website will play a sound appropriate for the theme that will loop while the study session is active. The website will also display a themed HUD (head-up display), where appropriate, that will demonstrate the time remaining in the session and allow the user to add tasks that can be crossed off as the tasks are completed.
Night Owl is an Adobe XD app prototype which is designed to help young people, particularly women feel safer on nights out. The app was designed to help combat the ever growing issue of harassment and the fears that surround this. It contains features as a Track Map, Ride Share, Recorded Calls and Live Phone lines.

Peripheral is an atmospheric horror game, creating fear and tension from the game environment rather than jumpscares or explicit gore. Peripheral is set in an empty modern art museum at night and the player must navigate their way to the exit. When the player is not looking, the environment changes. It is the fear of things unseen, i.e. in the player’s periphery, that Peripheral is built on.
Pickering Food Share is a non-profit eco- and community-centred organisation that collects food from local supermarkets and cafes that is at its best before date but still perfectly fine to eat, and redistributes it to local people. The PFS website is an important project aimed at spreading awareness about the initiative in the community. It extends the organisation’s presence from just the offline world into the digital online space, and opens up a wide range of opportunities. It’s significance is in its ability to help the organisation reach a wider audience of the communities in need, potential volunteers and new businesses, growing their network of partners, customers and supporters. It offers a more convenient way to spread the information about the initiative for the volunteers, and for people to share it with each other.
QRCOOK is a mobile social cooking game made in Android Studio, where players have to collect ingredients by scanning QR codes in real life and create dishes that match the customers’ tastes. This game also allows you to share your own ingredients with your friends by generating a QR code for the ingredients.
Rat Who is a 2D platformer, branching narrative, PC game in which the player navigates in multiple environments using a Rat as their avatar. The narrative is built on the different representations of rats across different cultures, whilst also focusing on themes of mental health such as anxiety, and cultural differences.
Rebound Rush is a 3D momentum-based platformer in which you rebound through obstacle courses to reach a goal as quickly as possible. It features 3 levels with unique visual themes and a variety of custom assets and effects. It also features a narrative told through comic panels and 6 characters to choose from. The King’s Meadow is a web-based, immersive experience in which users interact with the story of an ancient kingdom while exploring a whimsical forest. When the user reaches the end, they are assigned a flower that symbolizes the choices they made and the journey they took, while looking out over a grand meadow of flowers.

The old dream of a Fool” is a puzzle and exploration game. It takes place during the cultural revolution in China that happened from 1966 to 1976 about a Chinese opera practitioner, who has sworn to protect the traditional opera during a chaotic cultural revolution but tragically dies during a fire. The player enters his dream as a spectator and accidentally discovers the life and experiences of the owner.
The Temple is a 3D exploration and puzzle game created in Unity. The player is guided through a forest where they have to use gameplay elements such as exploration and collecting to reach the Temple and eventually solve the puzzle inside of it.

The app aims to raise visitors’ interest in the Shinkansen, with the guide of the cute and friendly character Mr. Shinkansen on their way to Hakata.
Vitrified is a fast-paced first person shooter where you must use various potions to defeat waves of enemies. A mysterious virus has ravaged your village, causing civilians to mutate into animalistic crystal creatures. Each enemy behaves differently and can only be defeated by 1 of your 3 distinctive potion types. Survive as many waves as possible with quick thinking and strategic play!

Workshop No.25 is a short exploration game which makes use of the "Factor-based Model" to create a compelling non-linear narrative experience. In this game, you would be following the journey of Beau and Raymond to retrieve the heritage in Workshop No.25, which is left by Beau's great grandfather. All choices that you made in the game would create a difference in the storyline; and you can also switch between the two characters to interact with different objects. There are also 8 endings in total so try to discover them all!

By developing digital stories through a co-creative film process, the project aims to reach new audiences in archaeology and facilitate conversations around inclusive storytelling practices in the sector. Through a lens of equity and justice, the platform is a space where migrant experiences are valued for their rich contribution to new meanings of archaeology and the ever-evolving ideas around heritage.
